Yay! She's starting to smile at us. It's funny how we smile so much trying to get her to smile that our cheeks hurt.
Abby decided she wanted to sit in a BIG chair, use a BIG fork, and take BIG bites. She had already eaten a whole waffle of her own, but took advantage of Chris' short absense from the breakfast table and took it upon herself to finish his food, too. Gotta love waffles!

attempt to distract me from the fact that we are four days past Ada's estimated due date, Chris suggested that we attend the Salt Lake County Fair. Fun idea, huh? Many of you know that Chris and I did not have the best experience delivering Abby in the hospital with a certain Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). There was a lot of stress surrounding what ought to have been a calm and happy experience, and we switched to the doctor on call (whom we'd never met) half way through labor. Yes, everything turned out wonderful in the end- Abby was born without complication, the doctor on call was great to work with, and eventually we caught up on sleep, but our experience is not something I look back on without wishing some things had just gone differently.
